I am Loris, I am 25 years old and I was born and raised in Berlin. I started the SDD track in the academic year 15/16. I have a background in political science, administration and business administration. Since my first year of Bachelor studies, I am hooked by pretty much everything related to development in Africa, more recently in issues of land, the environment and sustainable development. This passion grew through extensive travels and internships in Uganda, Sambia and Malawi over the last few years.
I believe that the concept and the hopefully growing community of SDD will enable the creation of capacity to deal with those very sensitive issues of land use conflicts, and sustainable resource management in the very particular context of rural Africa.
I hope to graduate in the summer 17’, after having written my Master thesis showing how the concept of SDD can and will contribute to solving conflicts, on the local, national and international level and especially in the institutional arena. I hope that after graduating I will be able to continue to contribute to the topic and community of SDD, by applying the concepts studied to the professional world.
